janeene mainor (legally lowercase) has been serving students, staff, and families in public education since 1997. Her career spans school divisions across Virginia, including Rockingham County, Chesapeake, Alexandria, and now Prince William County Schools. Since becoming Principal of Springwoods Elementary School in 2015, she has led with a commitment to student success, strong relationships, and a positive school culture. She credits her administrative team and staff for embracing her vision and putting in the work for every child every day. Under her leadership, Springwoods proudly embraces the motto, "It's All Good in The Woods!", reflecting the school's focus on learning, belonging, and community.
Ken "Bo" Burton has dedicated his career to education since 2003 and has proudly served as Assistant Principal at Springwoods Elementary School since 2014. His greatest professional passion is supporting students through special education and early intervention, helping ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, Bo remains a loyal fan of all things Pennsylvania sports. As a proud Penn State alumnus, you'll often find him cheering on the Nittany Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, and Philadelphia Phillies. During the football season, don't be surprised if you hear an occasional (or frequent) enthusiastic "Go Birds!" echo through the hallways.
When he's not supporting students, staff, and families, Bo enjoys bringing a sense of humor, positivity, and a student-centered focus to the Springwoods community.
Kenneth Harkins has served students, staff, and families in Prince William County Schools throughout his career and currently serves as Assistant Principal at Springwoods Elementary School. A graduate of PWCS, Mr. Harkins is passionate about building strong relationships, fostering a positive school culture, and ensuring every student feels valued, supported, and connected.
Prince William County roots run deep for Mr. Harkins as a lifelong resident. His wife is a PWCS educator, and their children attend PWCS schools. Outside of school, he enjoys coaching with Dale City Little League, cheering on the Washington Commanders, traveling with his family, and exploring new restaurants. He is proud to be part of the Springwoods community!
